Photographing children fills my soul. They serve as constant reminders of joy, discovery, wonder, laughter and hope. Their expressions and view of the world is honest and pure. As a mother I know the importance of building trust and connection with children and teens, practicing patience and allowing them to be my guide. I love the creative journey they take me on as I allow them to explore and be themselves during our time together. Most of all I love the confidence older children display as they begin to explore their own identity and experience themselves through their portraits. I believe in the importance of helping them embrace their individuality so they can see themselves as valuable, worthy and beautiful - just the way they are.

Kids photography sessions are often challenging to navigate and they are not all created equal. Their attention is finite; they often don’t want to be in front of the camera. They may do things just to spite you. You collect school photos to make the passing of time but have you ever seen your children as works of art?
Our approach is built around connection and creating work what is intentional and meaningful. We will document their contemplative nature, silly quirks and everything in between.
